The Opportunity

With the ongoing growth of our client base and products, we now have an exciting opportunity for a driven Account Manager to join our Client Success team in Brisbane.

As an Account Manager at Scout Talent, you’ll manage a portfolio of roughly 60-70 clients, with three key focuses:

  1. Client retention;
  2. Revenue growth through your existing client base; and
  3. Supporting the New Business Sales team by conducting product demonstrations with new prospects.

Your clients will be HR and Recruitment team members in growing organisations of all sizes and industries, located anywhere in Australia and sometimes overseas. They’ll have one thing in common: that they want to recruit the best people and they need great software to do it well. Your job will be helping to make sure they're using the system well and getting the most out of their subscription. 

What does this look like day-to-day?

  • Proactively building and maintaining strong relationships with clients to drive retention and reduce churn;
  • Growing revenue from existing accounts through up-selling and promotion of new features;
  • Acting as a Product Specialist and supporting the New Business Sales Team through calls, demonstrations as required;
  • Maintaining a deep understanding of the product and speaking with customers about the most relevant functionality to help them achieve their goals; and
  • Identifying opportunities for additional training and strategic assistance, and working with the Client Success team to provide relevant training sessions.

About You

If you have some experience in Account Management or a similar role where your focus was on client retention and identifying opportunities for new revenue streams - this is the role for you. And if you love the idea of sharing your knowledge in a collaborative team environment that will help to shape an innovative client success function - even better!

Ideally you will hold tertiary qualifications, but we don't mind in which field - this is more about your demonstrated ability to produce articulate proposals and reports, with high attention to detail and presentation.

It goes without saying you'll also need to be a bit tech savvy, with the ability to pick up computer software programs quickly in order to demonstrate the full capability of the system. Because of this, any account management or customer service experience gained within a software business will be a plus (but is not mandatory if you're a fast learner and tick all the other boxes!)

And finally - the right attitude is going to go a long way in securing your success in this role and the Scout Talent team. You need to be able to balance a drive for revenue growth, client growth and process improvements, with a personable manner, a flexible approach to teamwork and an unbreakable focus on providing customer service that exceeds expectations.
